Why has IPAAC been cancelled?
Alive Events are extremely distraught to announce that we have had to cancel the International Pole & Aerial Arts Convention on the 21st to 23rd September 2012 due to extenuating factors beyond our control. As you can appreciate, Alive Events and its affiliated sponsors have been working extremely hard in the lead up to the event; however, we always knew that delivering the biggest convention of its type in Europe was not going to be an easy task!
The event was to host the biggest names in Pole & Aerial Arts at the Church House Conference Centre, Westminster, however, all the international high profile stars needed a ‘work visa’ to deliver their workshops & lessons and we had not received confirmation of these from the relevant government bodies. This meant that we could not guarantee the attendance of the stars, thus posing a risk where we will not be able to execute the workshops & private tutorials highlighted in our offering.
We hope you can appreciate the workload the government bodies have had to deal with, due to the current sporting event that has been sweeping the UK & only recently were we made aware of the uncertainty surrounding the confirmation of the work visas.
Due to limited time, we are not able to rectify these issues and ensure the successful delivery of the convention to the high quality standards that are required by Alive Events. We have therefore had to make the difficult decision of cancelling the event on the 21st – 23rd of September 2012, with the intention of re-scheduling for the early part of 2013.
This new time frame will provide us with an opportunity to ensure we deliver on our promises, and resolve all issues surrounding the confirmation of the ‘work visa’ for all our stars – allowing us to deliver the spectacle that you deserve!
For those who may have booked or arranged tickets, we will, of course, be refunding in full any tickets or workshops you have purchased, ensuring that you will be reimbursed and not left ‘out-of-pocket’
